After spending 2 years in my home country, I decided to transfer credits to study overseas at Uni of Southern Cross. This Uni is not as famous as the other unis, but the tuition fee is much cheaper, and I can save 2 years of living expenses overseas.

The educational agent helped me to prepare for the transition to the Uni of Southern Cross. I was accepted immediately. I had a stress-free application.

The funding and scholarships are available, but it was very competitive. I think you must be very smart to recieve the funding from Uni.

The standard of this Uni is acceptable, but I did expect the Uni to have better facilities. I think the lecturers are fine, but the tutors are a bit inefficient. Sometimes I did not feel I had enough support.

The University facilities are ok. The surrounding atmosphere was very boring for me. I prefered somewhere more busy and modern. Housing price is very cheap compared to other big cities. I think it was hard for international students to find part time jobs due to the limited English competence.

I applied for permanent residency after I finished 2 years study. Then I had some low-paid jobs, now I am working as an IT officer for a small company in Sydney. it was tough to find job in the first place for me.
